Things to do
Wherever our airport transfer may have taken you, there is sure to be loads to do nearby. Prague is filled with museums and monuments, and is a renowned centre for the arts. Prague is relatively compact, so it is ideal for exploring on foot. Stroll through one of the many parks, such as Petrin Hill, or Kampa Park with its John Lennon wall. Prague offers a range of sporting activities, such as paintball, shooting and karting. Visit Prague Zoo, or take a hot air balloon trip and see Prague from the skies.
Sightseeing
You are sure to see a little of Prague during your airport transfer, but there is much more to see besides! Take a river cruise or a guided walking tour of the city to be sure not to miss anything. Admire the magnificent city views from the top of St Vitus Cathedral or Prague Castle, seat of Czech rulers throughout history. Discover the rich architectural history of the city, and the fine examples of Roman, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings.
Shopping
As you may see from your airport transfer, Prague is filled with a diverse range of shops. Handicraft markets are held throughout the year, but particularly at Christmas and Easter. The Czech Republic is famous for its Bohemian crystal, which can be bought in small glass and crystal shops all over Prague. Wenceslas Square is the main shopping area of Prague, where all the major shops can be found.
Nightlife
You may catch a glimpse of the vast array of nightlife Prague has to offer during your airport transfer. Take a trip to Charles Bridge for a spectacular view of the castle at night. See one of the many opera, ballet or classical concerts that Prague is famous for. The city is home to many clubs, playing all types of music from jazz to dance, and you can find live music in many bars and cafes.
Eating out
Restaurants in Prague serve a wide range of international cuisine, so you are sure to find something to your taste. Try the traditional Czech dish of roast pork, dumplings and sauerkraut, or perhaps some roast duck or wild boar. Sample some of the famous Czech beers with your meal. Some restaurants will serenade you with traditional gypsy music as you eat. Prague also has an assortment of cafes and tea rooms for snacks and drinks.
